It may be hard to believe, but this is the first issue of autumn! As I write this, at the height of summer, the sun is streaming through my window, so I’m hoping that the warm weather will continue for a little while longer. In fact, September is often more clement than August, so we have eased you slowly into the season with garments and accessories versatile enough to cope with whatever the weather throws at us. Marly Bird’s waistcoat is perfect for summer layering over light sweaters but will look just as pretty over a summery vest, while Jane Walter’s kimono works perfectly as a super-pretty layering piece over tops of many different weights and colours.
